OUR SENIOR LEADERS
APOSTLE OMAR MORTON & PROPHETESS MAKITA MORTON
Apostle Omar and Prophetess Makita have been in ministry for over 25 years. They've been married for 31 years and are the proud parents of five children, Isaiah, Christian, Destiny, Grace and Isaac.
Apostle Omar Morton grew up in the Fort Green section of Brooklyn and later in Coney Island where he became familiar with drugs and violence. Being around hustlers, dealers and killers was difficult; drug usage which he said he would never do became part of his life from the ages of 14 to 18. After attending College in Miami, Florida for basketball his drug usage spiraled out of control, where he almost died. At the age of 20 while back in New York, he experienced a supernatural conversion where he heard God say “It’s me who has been protecting you, choose who you will serve”. At this point he chose to live for Jesus. Apostle Omar began preaching the gospel at the tender age of 21. With a sense of gratefulness Apostle senses the best years of ministry are ahead for him and his wife. Prophetess Makita Morton grew up in the Fort Green Area of Brooklyn. She has many traumatic experiences but learned how to overcome the tragedies in her life by accepting Jesus Christ as her Savior. She is passionate about showing others
how they can also overcome any obstacle, especially through her latest books, "Breathe" and "Scars".
Apostle Omar Morton and Prophetess Makita Morton take pride in being the senior leaders to Kingdom Manna International Church. They aspire to not only reach Brooklyn with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but the world.
